Answers to frequently asked questions
What is SPC? What material is the product made from?
SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) is a high-density click-to-lock composite flooring. The rigid core (base) consists of 70% natural stone (limestone) and 30% virgin PVC.
Why did decide to create this product?
At the height of the laminate flooring market, consumers were looking for a new product with improved durability and moisture resistance. With the development of technology, laminate flooring (based on HDF board) and the first generation of multilayer vinyl floors LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles) are being replaced by SPC floors, and buyers’ interest in them is growing, because. these floors combine moisture resistance, high density, long service life, realistic designs and easy installation.
What rooms are spc floors suitable for?
Designed as a floor covering for domestic use with high and intensive use in areas such as: living rooms, lobbies, dining rooms, corridors, etc.
It is also intended as a floor covering for high traffic public and commercial use in areas such as: department stores, schools, large or open plan offices and others.
Benefits of SPC floors?
One of the most important of the many benefits of SPC is that, due to its composition, it is extremely stable, rigid and durable, so it can be installed over existing flooring.
The surface, thanks to the Ultimate Shield coating, is very durable, resistant not only to ordinary household loads, but even to pets.
The SPC floor pattern is completely realistic: wood, stone, marble or an abstract look will suit any interior.
It is waterproof, so there are no barriers to using the same flooring in different rooms (bedroom, bathroom or kitchen) and even changes in humidity won’t ruin it.
Impact resistant and resistant to sharp objects.
Suitable for use even in rooms without central heating.
An ideal choice in any area: domestic or commercial.
What differentiates SPC floors from existing analogues?
Difference between SPC and HDF laminate flooring:
— They are 100% moisture-proof – laying in rooms with high humidity is possible. Does not deform under temperature changes
— The presence of an integrated underlay 1 mm (density 100 kg / m3) reduces impact noise in the room up to 21 dB
— Ultimate Shield Surface Coating: Provides superior wear resistance, protection against scratches and stains
— Thanks to the density of 2000 kg/m3, it has a rigid construction and a long service life
— Can be installed as a continuous deck without expansion joints between rooms
The difference between SPC and ceramic tiles:
— Easy and mess-free installation with a click lock
— Can be laid on the old floor (e.g. wood or tiles)
— Has a rigid structure and impact resistance — without chips and dents when falling sharp or heavy objects
— Has a non-slip top layer, the slip resistance index is R10. Be sure even after wet cleaning you will not slip.
Which is better: SPC, laminate flooring or ceramic tile?
SPC is a great alternative to laminate or tile. It is quieter and warmer than tile and laminate. More resistant to chips that easily appear on laminate or tile. The SPC is resilient, making it more pleasant to walk on. It is not afraid of moisture, unlike laminate, and is not slippery compared to tile.

For installation, there is no need to purchase additional structural elements, since SPC floors have an integrated IXPE underlay on the back of the panels. This is a ready-made solution for your floor, simply placed on the subfloor.
Tools required for laying SPC: utility knife, tape measure, square, rubber mallet, 1/4 spacers, tapping block.
Installation of SPC grafenfloor?
Mounting process:
Before laying, inspect all panels for defects and damage. Do not install damaged boards, use them for undercuts.
SPC panels are laid from left to right. Start on the left wall of the room and move towards the right. The panel with the long side with the scallop must face the starting wall.
Be sure to put spacers 1/4 along the wall.
Lower and secure the short sides of each panel with a rubber mallet.
The last panel in the row will need to be cut. Cut the board with a sharp clerical knife at a right angle. Then push, the panel will click. You can also use a saw. The remaining piece will be your starting piece for the next row. But make sure that the joints from one row to another are offset by at least 20 cm.
When you start a new row, tilt the long side of the boards so that the comb fits into the groove of the previous row. When installing, use a rubber mallet and tapping block to make sure the long side is inserted correctly. Thus, install the second panel in a new row and press with your thumb on both ends of the short side. Use a rubber mallet to make sure the short side is in correctly. And so on, lay rows of panels until you reach the wall.
After installing the SPC, it is necessary to remove the spacers and seal the expansion joints between the floor and walls with a floor plinth, which is attached to the wall with clips or construction adhesive. If during installation the SPCs were separated between rooms by a movement joint, it is recommended that a transition molding be installed as well. The molding should not be attached to the SPC, but to the subfloor.
